Kalamazoo Photography

I am an area native who began taking area photos after retiring from Upjohn-Pharmacia-Pfizer.

I began by taking classes at the KIA, which not only taught me technique but got me access to places I wouldn't have been able to photograph otherwise, like the Gibson Car Museum or the Heritage Guitar factory.

I discovered that photography is a matter of patience, timing, and luck. After taking the photo I post-process the photo to convey my vision—what I saw and felt—when I captured the shot, but the shot has to be there in the first place. I print my work on Epson Fine Art paper.
